One of the largest rooms in the Winter Palace is the Armorial Hall. It is over 1000 sq m with sculptures of early Russian warriors either side of the entrance between pairs of fluted gilt Corinthian columns. The enormous gilt bronze chandeliers are decorated with the coats of arms of all the Russian provinces.
